Sy Baldwin was born and raised in the San Gabriel Valley, a place he calls home in every sense of the word. Growing up in a household full of music and laughter, Sy learned early that creativity wasn’t a talent — it was a language. He spent his childhood reading everything he could get his hands on, and quietly dreaming of one day writing stories of his own.

When Sy became a father, those childhood dreams took on new meaning. He looked at the books on his child’s shelf and realized something was missing — stories that looked like them, felt like them, and celebrated the ordinary magic of their everyday lives. Today Sy is a multiple-times-published children’s book author who visits schools across Southern California, speaks at community events, and is actively building a library of stories that empower young readers. With a background in music and community engagement, Sy brings a performer’s energy and a storyteller’s heart to every school visit, reading, and signing he attends.
